The Indian Army invites applications from female candidates (only) who are interested in pursuing a 4-year BSc Nursing course. After completing the nursing training, candidates will be granted a permanent/short service commission in the Military Nursing Service. The terms and conditions for the commission will be laid down and must be adhered to. Per the executed bond, if the candidate withdraws from the course, terminates their training, or refuses the commission offer, they have to refund the bond money. During the training period, candidates will be provided with a free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance, and a monthly stipend as per the existing terms and conditions, which may be amended from time to time.

Marital Status
Female candidates who are unmarried/divorcee/legally separated or widow without encumbrances.
Educational Qualifications
The candidate should have passed the XII standard/equivalent examination from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks on the first attempt as a regular student in physics, chemistry, biology, and English.
Those who have passed such examinations as private students or with compartments in any subject or candidates from open schools are NOT ELIGIBLE.
Candidates who will be appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply provisionally.
The candidates finally selected for the course will have to submit proof of passing the qualifying examination with requisite subjects and marks before joining the course.
Physical standards Medical fitness will be determined as per standards applicable for commission in the Armed Forces. X-ray examination of the Chest and USG (of abdomen & pelvis) will be done.
Minimum height should not be less than 148 cm (relaxed by 5cm in the case of North-East candidates).

MNS Selection Process
When a candidate is eligible for the MNS entrance exam. After that, they have to clear written tests, interviews, and medical examinations. Then the final selected candidates got their commission in MNS. Here is the detailed selection process with subjects:
BSc Nursing Entrance Exam
This is the first stage of the MNS entrance exam. The candidate has to clear the online mode exam which has 150 multiple-choice questions from the subjects General English, General Intelligence, and General Science.
Each section has 50 multiple-choice questions. Each question carries one mark.
After this written exam the result will be displayed on the official website.
Selected candidates will receive call letters for the MNS interview on their email or registered mobile number.
Interview
This is the second stage of the MNS entrance exam. The candidates who have received the call letters or admit cards will have to appear for the MNS interview.
This interview is conducted by Army officers which consist of 100 marks.
The candidates have to answer their questions about general awareness and personal development. Also, the communication skills and knowledge about the subject will be checked by the interviewers.
Medical Test
The medical test is the third stage of the MNS entrance exam.
The candidates who passed the interview called for the medical exam.
The interview and medical test process will take 2 to 3 days, till then the candidates have to stay in their accommodation or the military hospitals.
In this medical test, weight and height measurement, chest measurement, several internal checkups, eye sights, body posture, color blindness, genetic disorders, and night blindness will be checked.
The final results of fit and unfit candidates will be decided by the medical board of the Indian Army.
The selected candidates who are medically fit will have to submit their medical reports to various military hospitals in the Indian armed forces.
